Steelers' Mike Wallace Anticipates Being 'More Tired' In First Few Practices

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace is finally back in tow and gearing up for the 2012 NFL season after sitting out for a month.

Despite the missed time, Wallace has stated he should be fine for the season opener. However, he does expect to be somewhat worn out after his first few practices, according to Pro Football Talk.

"I’m not worried about it at all because I have good teammates, and they’ll get me ready for going against the defense," Wallace said. "As far as conditioning-wise, we have two weeks to the game. I’ve been working out, I’ve been doing really good conditioning, so that’s not really going to be a problem. Nothing is like getting in football shape, it’s a little different, so the first couple days I might be a little more tired than the other guys — not because I’m not in shape, just because it’s different with pads on. But I’ll be ready when it’s time to go Sunday night against Denver."

With Wallace in the mix, Pittsburgh will have its full compliment of receivers for Ben Roethlisberger to throw at. Frankly, that's all Mike Tomlin and the Steelers care about at this point.
