Steelers 53-Man Roster: Who Will Make Cut?

The NFL cuts deadline is at 9 p.m. ET Friday, meaning the Pittsburgh Steelers have to be down to the mandated 53 players by then.

Head coach Mike Tomlin will have some decisions to make as he balances the worth of talent and age vs. youth and potential in certain spots.

While Tomlin's final roster is mere days away, SteelersDepot.com has come up with its own idea of what that roster should look like.

There aren't too many surprises seen here, with such a veteran-laden lineup not leaving a ton of room for change.

One decision that jumps out is the secondary numbers. It's normal to keep nine guys, but usually in the way of five corners and four safeties. Dave Bryan flips that script, saying that with Ryan Clark still working his way back, Pittsburgh has to keep an extra safety.

On offense, Bryan has five running backs listed. Again, this is also out of necessity with Rashard Mendenhall coming back from a torn ACL and Isaac Redman on the mend.
