Steelers' Jason Worilds Still Struggling With Wrist

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Jason Worilds is still struggling with his surgically-repaired wrist, a big reason why he was only recently activated from the PUP list. According to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Worilds is still unable to unhinge his wrist and will have to wear a brace when he does return to the field.

The major issue that Worilds is currently facing is an inability to take on blockers along the line of scrimmage and even with the wrist brace will have trouble the wrist's range of motion until it is fully healed. Accord to Dave Bryan of Steelers Depot, linebackers coach Keith Butler stated back in June that this particular injury could take a significant amount of time to fully heal.

Worilds has expressed frustration over not being cleared to play during training camp and the preseason but it seems he is certainly getting closer to getting on the field for the Steelers. The third-year linebacker started seven games last season and finished with 3.0 sacks and 38 total tackles.
