2012 London Olympics: Cassidy Krug Advances To Women's Diving 3M Springboard Final

Cassidy Krug, born in Pittsburgh, has advanced to the women's diving 3m springboard platform final, to be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. EST. Krug finished 5th in Sunday's morning's semifinals to lock up a spot in the final. Krug posted a semifinal round score of 345.600 points, with American teammate Christina Loukas finishing one spot behind her with 339.750 points.

Krug and Loukas are chasing five-time medal winner Wu Mingxia of China, who sits well atop the field after a top qualifying score of 394.400. Wu has a rather-substantial 32.300 point lead over second-place Tania Cagnotto of Italy.

Wu's synchronized diving partner He Zi sits third at 354.500, with Canada's Jennifer Abel in fourth with a score of 353.250.
