The Pittsburgh Steelers have not started 0-2 since 2002. That season, the Steelers recovered to make the playoffs. Faced with that same prospect on Sunday against the New York Jets, linebacker LaMarr Woodley says that there are no worries about starting 0-2. Wide reciever Mike Wallace echoed the sentiment:
The simple fact is you want to win every time you go out there, not because 0-2 would be (seen as) the end of the world.
Only four teams in NFL history have started 0-2 and reached the Super Bowl, most recently the New York Giants in 2007.
The Steelers will play the Jets on Sunday with kickoff scheduled for 4:25 p.m. at Heinz Field. The game will be televised on CBS.
