Jets Vs. Steelers: LaMarr Woodley Says Steelers 'Won't Be 0-2'

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley stated on Wednesday that the team will not be opening the season with a second consecutive loss. After falling to the Denver Broncos on the road in the season opener, the Steelers will be facing the New York Jets on Sunday.

If the team is unable to beat New York (which is entering the game off a dominating win over the Buffalo Bills), it will be the first time since 2002 that the Steelers opened a season at 0-2. When that statistic was brought to Woodley's attention by a reporter's question, he quickly responded prior to the completion of the question.

Via The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:

"And we won't be 0-2" he stated, adding "Every week the mindset is to go out there and win a football game, and not start the season off bad. So far we're 0-1, and we'll manage to not go 0-2."

Since being selected with the No. 46 overall selection in the 2007 NFL Draft by Pittsburgh, Woodley has never experienced a losing season.
