Jets Vs. Steelers Final Score: Pittsburgh Wins, 27-10

The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the New York Jets, 27-10, on Sunday at Heinz Field.

The Steelers pitched a second half shutout to win comfortably on Sunday. A late touchdown pass to Heath Miller from Ben Roethlisberger at the end of the first half gave the Steelers at 13-10 lead at the break. In the second half, Roethlisberger threw his second touchdown pass of the game when he found Mike Wallace for a 37-yard score in the third quarter. The Steelers put the game away with a 2-yard rushing touchdown by Isaac Redman with 3:41 to play in the fourth quarter.

Ben Roethlisberger is now 6-0 in home-openers and he led the Steelers with 275 yards and two touchdowns on 24-of-31 passing. Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was held in check by the Steelers' defense. Sanchez was 10-of-27 passing for 138 yards and one touchdown. Despite a largely ineffective rushing game (28 attempts for 66 yards), the Steelers were able to dominate possession and had the ball for 36:36.

The Steelers (1-1) will play their next game on the road against the Oakland Raiders (0-2) next Sunday.
