ESPN's weekly Big East bowl projections are out and for the first time in a while, the Panthers are picked to play in the postseason.
↵Big East blogger Andrea Adelson says the Panthers will face a Big 12 team in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl. Any bowl, of course, would be welcome for Pitt after they started out 0-2 and were left for dead by many. But just as welcome would be a change from the BBVA Compass Bowl, where Pitt has played in each of the past two years.
↵With games against Syracuse, Temple, UConn, Buffalo, and South Florida, the Panthers will have a good chance to get to the necessary six wins. But four of those games are on the road and there's no guarantee that Pitt will be playing in a bowl game. This much is clear, though - the Panthers are in a better position than they were two weeks ago.
