St. Francis vs. Duquesne final score: Larry McCoy leads Dukes to 24-21 win

Duquesne pulled out a come-from-behind victory over St. Francis (PA) Saturday afternoon, winning 24-21.

The Dukes got on the board first, with Larry McCoy rushing for a four-yard touchdown with 4:39 left in the first quarter. The Red Flash's Keion Wade had a rushing touchdown of his own in the second quarter to tie the score, but Duquesne re-took the lead with a Charlie Leventry field goal and headed into halftime with a three-point advantage.

Wade picked up his second rushing touchdown midway through the third quarter, though, and St. Francis took a 14-10 lead. Another Duquesne field goal cut that lead to one, but early in the fourth quarter, Wade's third touchdown of the day put the Red Flash up 21-13.

The Dukes then embarked on a long drive that ended with another rushing touchdown by McCoy, and they completed the two-point conversion to tie the game. The Duquesne defense then forced a punt, and the offense marched down the field yet again, with a drive ending in yet another field goal for Leventry, making it 24-21, Duquesne.

McCoy ended the game with 122 yards rushing. Wade, meanwhile, had 82 yards, and John Kelly had 103 for the Red Flash.
