Steelers Vs. Broncos Injuries: Rashard Mendenhall, James Harrison Could Play

When the Pittsburgh Steelers open the 2012 regular season on Sunday night against the Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, linebacker James Harrison and running back Rashard Mendenhall could be in the lineup. Whether the two are able to play will be determined upon how they feel after practice this week.

In the case of Harrison (knee), he will require medical clearance prior to being reinstated into the lineup. For Mendenhall (knee) who is attempting to return from a torn ACL from last Jan., it's less likely that he will be able to play despite head coach Mike Tomlin leaving the door open.

In addition, linebacker Jason Worilds and running back Isaac Redman are questionable for Sunday, while safety Ryan Clark has already been ruled out due to his sickle cell trait.
