Furman Vs. Penn State First Half Updates: Under 16 Timeout

The Bryce Jordan Center is filling in slowly this afternoon. Probably a good contingent of people who want to see what the Steelers are doing before they head out. Press row is also absent some likely tired journalists after yesterday's football game. We'll see who shows up I suppose.

A quick football note, the Bloomington Herald Times is reporting Indiana football coach Bill Lynch will not return next season. That leaves two Big Ten jobs open already with the shoe possibly falling on Michigan's Rich Rodriguez later this week.

Furman opens the scoring with a quick three, so it looks like Penn State's luck guarding the perimeter isn't getting much better. It was a deep one. Not much you can do to guard range.

David Jackson gets Penn State on the board with a couple of free throws after the Lions failed to score on their opening possession.

Nice assists by Tim Frazier on David Jackson and Jeff Brooks threes. He penetrated, made the defense collapse on him and found his shooters on the perimeter in both instances. That's what the sophomore needs to be doing for this team.

With 15:04 left in the half, Penn State leads 10-6.
