Furman Vs. Penn State First Half Notes: Under 8 Timeout

Penn State doesn't look like it has improved its inbound offense much over the summer. The Lions routinely resort to baseball passes into the back court to get the ball in. Not sure if that's a problem per se, but it'd be nice if the Lions could get some easy buckets off inbound plays.

Furman scored its first 12 points from the perimeter and has 15 of its 17 points from that range as well. That's obviously bad news for Penn State's perimeter defense, which got torched at Mississippi the other night, but its also speaks well to how the interior guys are defending inside today.

Sick crossover from Tim Frazier on the fast break for his first bucket of the day.

Taran Buie loses his dribble and coughs the ball up. He's got to work on turnovers

Nice and-on by David Jackson stems a small Furman run

With 7:57 in the half, Penn State is up 24-17.
