ESPN reports that although the Nittany Lions haven’t made an announcement, Rob Bolden is likely to start at quarterback over Matt McGloin, who led the team last week against Michigan.
Still no official announcement on Penn State’s starting quarterback, but it looks like freshman Rob Bolden will get the call. Northwestern quarterback Dan Persa has been fully cleared since the middle of the week.
Penn State’s students are a little late to arrive today. The student section is only about 20 percent full, although there are several good signs. My personal favorite: “Derek Es Moye Bien.”
Our own Adam Bittner had it right – the Nittany Lions took a considerable risk in giving Bolden the job at the beginning of the year, and they’ve invested a lot in him as their starting quarterback, so it would seem strange if they gave another player the job so freely.
