Maryland Vs. Penn State First Half Notes: Under 4 Timeout

Penn State badly needed the media timeout under eight. The Nittany Lions weren't running their offense at all. Andrew Jones comes out of the timeout and scores for Penn State to again stem the Maryland tide.

Taran Buie has been taking a bunch of threes off the bench. If we've said it once, we've said it 1000 times, that's not his game. He needs to attack the basket and penetrate to the second level of the defense.

Talor Battle just seems to be a step off tonight. He just drew a foul on Jordan Williams but he appears to be a little clumsy right now.

Penn State still hasn't hit a three.

The Nittany Lions haven't played very well since about the 12:00 mark and are amazingly still within a possession of Maryland at the moment. I guess the good news is that it can't get much worse and things are still close. It has to get better in the second half, right?

With 3:46 in the half, Maryland leads 18-15.
