The Nittany Lions allowed the Black Bears to shoot 11-19 from the perimeter for 57%. Maine came in averaging only 35% from deep on the season.

The Lions were also killed by depth issues. As David Jackson sat with foul trouble, backup forward Billy Oliver contributed only three points and two rebounds against four fouls. Cammeron Woodyard was 0-4 from the field, and Taran Buie was 0-3.

Penn State is now 7-4 heading into Big Ten play, and has looked listless in all of its losses. With a beyond difficult schedule ahead of them, things could be getting ugly for the Lions very soon.
