Duquesne Vs. Penn State First Half Updates: Under 12 Timeout

T.J. McConnell has checked in for Duquesne coming out of the timeout. As if the Dukes weren't already handling Penn State on the perimeter, the freshman should bolster their attack even more.

Lots of whistles in the early going here. Neither team is really establishing much of a flow, though Duquesne has been effective from deep so far.

After some quiet minutes in relief of David Jackson, Billy Oliver has given way to walk-on Steve Kirkpatrick on the floor for Penn State. The senior has seen a lot more minutes in the last couple of games as Jackson and Jeff Brooks have been slowed by foul trouble and/or injuries. It'll be interesting to see what he can contribute. As Ed DeChellis's leash for Oliver grows shorter, Kirkpatrick might be able to seize the first-forward-off-the-bench role with some good minutes today.

With 11:56 to play in the first half, Duquesne leads Penn State 15-9.
