2011 East West Shrine Game: East Roster Features Three Local Players

The roster of the East team in the East West Shrine Game, which takes place Saturday at 4:00 at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando (and on the NFL Network), features three local players: Penn State running back Evan Royster and defensive lineman Ollie Ogbu, and Fairmont State wide receiver Perry Baker.

Fairmont State? That's just south of Morgantown on I-79. Baker scored nine touchdowns this year; he doesn't think he'll be drafted, but he hopes to catch on in the NFL as a free agent. Baker's brother Dallas Baker was the Steelers' seventh-round draft pick in 2007 and recorded one catch for them. His uncle is former NFL standout Wes Chandler.

The Penn State players are a little better known, obviously. Royster is coming off a mildly disappointing senior season for the Nittany Lions, but he has three straight years with over 1,000 yards on the ground. Ogbu recorded 48 tackles for Penn State this year.
