Iowa Vs. Penn State First Half Updates: Teams Open Hot

Attendance this evening is pretty low, definitely the smallest crowd of the Big Ten schedule so far. State College is getting pounded by the East Coast snow storm right now. We're talking two inches per hour out there, so it's surprise people are staying away for this one. Iowa just isn't much of a gate draw, snow or no snow, and the weather just compounds all that.

Penn State's starting lineup remains normal: Jeff Brooks, David Jackson and Andrew Jones are the forwards, Talor Battle and Tim Frazier are the guards.

Jeff Brooks gets Penn State on the board first after bobbling a pass, then laying it in after gaining control.

Both teams are shooting well early. At the 17:25 mark, neither has missed.

At the first media timeout, the teams are 5-6 from the field with Penn State owning the only miss. With 14:55 to play in the half, it's Iowa 8, Penn State 5.
