Iowa Vs. Penn State First Half Updates: Fran McCaffery Gets A Technical

Talor Battle hits his free throw out of the timeout, but Billy Oliver promptly comes down the floor and gives Penn State's fifth foul already. Talor Battle follows that up with the team sixth seconds later, then Iowa nails a thee. Costly defensive possession for the Nittany Lions.

Crowd has filled in decently. Still a smaller crowd, but not nearly as bad as before.

Tim Frazier commits a terrible turnover on an inbound play under the Iowa bucket.  Iowa scores to make it 21-10 Hawkeyes.

There was just a 12-year old girl scrum under the Iowa basket. Penn State might have gabbed six offensive boards there, then finished the possession off with a three by Jeff Brooks.

Jermaine Marshall replaces Tim Frazier in the Penn State lineup after that bad turnover.

Iowa is really looking to pressure the ball up top, especially when it's not in Battle's hands. Seems to be rattling the Lions a bit, as they already have six turnovers.

Billy Oliver draws a beautiful charge and Iowa coach Fran McCaffery gets a technical for arguing the call. Penn State will definitely take that.

With 7:52 to play in the first half, Iowa leads 21-15.
