Iowa Vs. Penn State Second Half Updates: Lions Hold Off Hawkeyes For Win

During the final media timeout, the crowd was as loud as it's been in the second half for the pizza giveaway. Pretty much sums up the evening. Pretty boring basketball being played at the moment.

Jeff Brooks hits a dagger three pointer to put Penn State up 10 with just over three minutes remaining, but Iowa comes right back down the floor with an answer from the arc. The Hawkeyes aren't quite done yet, though Penn State's seven point lead at the moment feels like much more than that the way the offense has gone in this game.

Penn State has a heck of a time bringing the ball up the floor, but some how, Talor Battle gets another basket and-one. Iowa really hasn't fouled him hard enough this evening and he's made the Hawkeyes pay with the bonus shots.

Steve Jones is pounding the table behind me. He's bored too.

Brooks hits another three and has 20 points for Penn State on the evening. He and Battle have 43 of the teams 63 points.

This thing is mercifully over. Penn State wins 65-51. Heading down to the press room. We'll have more later tonight on this important victory for the Lions.
