Penn State vs. Indiana: Nittany Lions Take The Lead

Penn State takes the kickoff to begin the second half. Joe Paterno has retreated to the press box for the second straight week. He's probably feeling it if he's going upstairs in a tight game like this one.

Rob Bolden is in at quarterback for the Nittany Lions to start the half, but he's no spark as the offense goes three-and-out on the first drive of the half.

Indiana responds by fumbling the ball of first down. Not surprisingly, Penn State's defensive line came up with the big defensive play again, as Sean Stanley forced his third fumble of the year and Devon Still recovered on the play. The Nittany Lions have the ball deep in Indiana territory.

Bolden and the offense once again fail to capitalize on the opportunity, however, going three-and-out from the redzone. Anthony Fera bails the group out with a 27-yard field goal to give Penn State a 6-3 lead early in the second half.

Penn State scoring summary: 3 plays, 3 yards, :47 time of possession.
