Derek Moye has become a staple of Penn State's receiving corps over the last three seasons, but the Nittany Lions could be without him for Saturday's Homecoming contest against Purdue at Beaver Stadium as The Daily Collegian's Joe McIntyre is reporting the senior wide out sustained an injury on Tuesday night.
A team source has confirmed a report that Penn State wide receiver Derek Moye has sustained a foot injury.
The redshirt senior fell down some steps last night, and the extent of his injury is not known.
Moye is Penn State's leading receiver by a country mile. So far this season, he's hauled in 28 passes for 485 yards and three touchdowns. No other Penn State receiver has more than one touchdown, 19 catches or 225 yards, so needless to say, Moye is a big part of an already very anemic passing game. If he's forced to miss the game, guys like Justin Brown, Devon Smith and Shawney Kersey will have to step up and pick up the slack.
