Penn State vs. Purdue: Rob Bolden Booed After Bad Throws

Rob Bolden is still in there at quarterback for Penn State on the Nittany Lions' third drive of the afternoon. He misses Devon Smith on a first down pass, and Smith gestures in disgust, as the ball was well behind him. After a short Silas Redd run, Bolden misses Smith again on third down, this time streaking down the far side of the field, and the Lions are forced to punt. The boos rained down on Bolden after the second missed pass, as it was nowhere close. Looks like the people want Matthew McGloin.

On the ensuing Purdue drive, the Boilermakers get a first down on a run from Akeem Shavers. Another run, this time for no gain, and the first quarter comes to an end with Penn State still up 7-3.

After the quarter break, Purdue takes a false start penalty and Caleb TerBush is forced to throw the ball away on second down. On fourth down, he's hit and throws the ball out of bounds and Penn State forces a punt.
