Penn State vs. Purdue: Anthony Fera Gives Nittany Lions 13-6 Lead

Caleb TerBush is in at quarterback for Purdue's first drive of the second half. He's sacked by Penn State's Sean Stanley on first down, and misses his man across the middle on third down, and the Boilermakers goes three-and-out.

On the ensuing punt, the Nittany Lions' Justin Brown takes the ball back 33 yards to the Purdue 31-yardline, so Penn State will have great field position to start its upcoming drive.

Matthew McGloin is now back at quarterback for Penn State. The staff wants no part of letting him through, though, as three straight handoffs go to Silas Redd. He advances the ball to the Purdue 23, but falls short of a first down, bringing Anthony Fera on for another field goal attempt, this one from 40 yards. He drills it, and with 5:57 left in the third quarter, Penn State leads Purdue 13-6.

Penn State scoring summary: 4 plays, 8 yards, 2:00 time of possession.
