Penn State vs. Purdue: Silas Redd Scores, Puts Nittany Lions Up 20-12

Carson Wiggs sends the kickoff out of bounds for Purdue on the ensuing kickoff after the Boilermakers' touchdown, so Penn State takes over on its own 40-yardline.

Matthew McGloin, still under center for the Nittany Lions, comes out firing, and hits Devon Smith for 22 yards into Purdue territory. "Zombie Nation" blares from the speakers. That's how bad this offense has become. McGloin follows that completion up with a 20-yarder to Justin Brown and a 9-yarder to Joe Suhey.

Silas Redd finishes off the lightning quick drive with a 9-yard touchdown. Anthony Fera hits the extra point, and Penn State goes up 20-12 with 2:37 left to play in the third quarter.

Penn State scoring summary: 4 plays, 60 yards, 1:25 time of possession.

Huge, huge drive from the offense there when it really needed one. Purdue was very close to taking over the momentum, but McGloin finally strung a couple of completions together, and bam, Penn State was back in the endzone. It's amazing how well this offense works when the passing game is respectable.
