Penn State vs. Purdue: Akeem Shavers Scores, Purdue Now Trails 20-18

Following the Albert Evans' interception for Purdue, the Boilermakers get a first down on a pass from Caleb TerBush to Akeem Shavers. That completion moves them into the red zone as time winders under nine minutes to play here at Beaver Stadium.

TerBush follows that with a 17-yard pass down to Penn State's 1-yardline and Shavers finishes off the drive with a 1-yard touchdown run for a touchdown.

The Boilermakers attempt a two-point conversion to try and tie the score at 20, but Penn State's Khairi Fortt hits a scrambling TerBush to keep Purdue from drawing even. The score is now 20-18 Penn State with 8:08 to play in the football game.

Purdue scoring summary: 8 plays, 45 yards, 4:05 time of possession.

This will be my last game update. I'm heading down to the field and then to Joe Paterno's post-game press conference. Charlie Wilmoth will handle things from here, folks. Can Penn State hold on?
