With Penn State’s 23-18 win over the Purdue Boilermakers now in the books, here’s a look at other scores in the Big Ten conference on Saturday.
Unsurprisingly, the Wisconsin Badgers manhandled the Indiana Hoosiers, 59-7. Wisconsin got 332 yards rushing, including 142 yards and two touchdowns from Montee Ball (who also had a passing touchdown) and 87 yards from James White. Stephen Houston had 135 yards rushing for the Hoosiers.
No. 23 Michigan State just upset No. 11 Michigan, 28-14. Kirk Cousins fired two touchdown passes to Keshawn Martin, and Edwin Baker had 167 yards rushing and a touchdown. Isaiah Lewis also had a pick-six for the Spartans. The loss dropped the Wolverines to 6-1, while Michigan State rose to 5-1. After Michigan’s loss, Wisconsin and Illinois are the only undefeated teams remaining in the Big Ten.
Ohio State vs. Illinois is just getting underway, and Northwestern vs. Iowa begins at 7:00 PM.
