Illinois Vs. Penn State: Matt McGloin To Start, Derek Moye Dresses

SB Nation Pittsburgh’s Adam Bittner – who’s reporting from the game – tells us that Matt McGloin will start for the Nittany Lions at quarterback on Saturday against Illinois. This isn’t a huge surprise, since McGloin also started and played throughout last week’s game against Northwestern, but Joe Paterno said earlier this week that he didn’t have “the slightest idea” whether McGloin or Rob Bolden would be the starter at quarterback against Illinois, so it certainly seems worthwhile to point out that it will, in fact, be McGloin. McGloin went 17-for-26 for 192 yards and two touchdowns against Northwestern and has outperformed Bolden this year.

Bittner also writes that wide receiver Derek Moye will dress after sitting out the last two games with a foot injury. Moye is Penn State’s leading receiver this year, with 485 yards, despite missing those two games.

The game between Illinois and Penn State begins at 3:30 PM.
