Ross Travis gets Penn State on the board to start the evening with a put back of a Billy Oliver miss. Offensive rebounding for the Nittany Lions will be a big key, as they have a significant advantage against the Dukes on the boards. Penn State enters ranked No. 95 nationally in rebounding. Duquesne is ranked No. 330.
Travis is active early for Penn State. He's been becoming a bigger and bigger presence in the offense lately, scoring double figures in two of the last four games. We'll see if he can exploit his height advantage tonight to keep his offensive momentum going.
The Dukes are already finding success against Penn State on the perimeter. The Lions have given up 20 3-pointes in their last two games, so it'd be in their best interests to shape up quickly tonight, or risk negating their advantage down low.
With 14:38 remaining in the first half, Penn State leads Duquesne, 14-13.
