Penn State Coaching Search: Tom Bradley Has Yet To Interview

Penn State interim head coach Tom Bradley has not yet interviewed to permanently replace Joe Paterno, the former defensive coordinator told TribLive Radio with Guy Junker and Ken Laird on Wednesday morning.

Bradley said schedule conflicts have kept him from meeting with acting athletic director David Joyner's six-person search committee, but he expects the interview will take place at some point in the near future.

The football team is off from practice and meetings all week in light of finals at University Park. Preparations for the Jan. 2 TicketCity Bowl in Dallas against Houston will begin next week. The team will hold a majority of its practices in State College, Bradley said, before travel to Texas after Christmas.

Bradley assumed head coaching duties on Nov. 9 when Paterno was fired in light of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal.
