Penn State Coaching Search: Brian Norwood, Larry Johnson Sr. Have Reportedly Interviewed

Penn State co-defensive coordinator Larry Johnson and Baylor associate head coach Brian Norwood have both interviewed for the Penn State job according to Mike Poorman of StateCollege.com.

Johnson, father of former Penn State players Larry, Tony and Bryant Johnson, coached defensive linemen under Joe Paterno from 1996 until Paterno's firing on Nov. 9 in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal. Johnson was promoted to co-defensive coordinator with former linebackers coach Ron Vanderlinden when Tom Bradley took over as interim head coach.

Norwood, defensive backs coach at Penn State under Paterno from 2001-2007 and father of former Nittany Lions receiver Jordan Norwood, has been with Baylor since 2008 and has made assistant coaching stops at Arizona, Richmond, Navy, and Texas Tech.

Poorman believes it's unlikely that either of those two, in addition to Bradley and co-offensive coordinator Jay Paterno, will get them job.
