Penn State Coaching Search: Bill O'Brien A Candidate, According To Report

Yet another new name has been floated as Penn State's search to replace Joe Paterno as head football coach promises to stretch into 2012. ESPN's Joe Schad tweets:

O'Brien has served in a number of different roles for the New England Patriots since 2007, advancing to offensive coordinator this season. Before the Patriots, he made stops as an assistant at Brown, Georgia Tech, Maryland and Duke in the college ranks.

Like Paterno, this 42-year old Dorchester, Mass. native is a graduate of Brown, where he played from 1990-1992.
