Penn State vs. Mississippi: Teams Trade Triples Early

Good evening from the Bryce Jordan Center.

Penn State's starters this evening are Billy Oliver and Ross Travis at the forwards and Tim Frazier, Jermaine Marshall and Matt Glover at the guards. Nittany Lions going small to start.

Glover gets Penn State's first points of the game and has been very active early, diving on the floor for loose balls and chasing down long rebounds. That's the kind of scrapiness he brings to this lineup.

Sasa Borovnjak is the first man off the bench for Penn State, replacing Billy Oliver, who just committed heinous turnover that led to a triple for Ole Miss. Borovnjak gets on the board on a fast break layup and forces the Rebels to call timeout, down 7-3.

Terrence Henry scores a basket-and-one, and has six early points for Ole Miss. The Rebels have a bunch of dangerous scorers, but Penn State probably wants to clamp down on him before he gets out of hand.

Tim Frazier hits a triple, then Jarvis Summers comes back and hits one of his own. The teams have four 3-pointers between them at the first media timeout. With 15:52 to go in the first half, Penn State and Ole Miss are tied, 9-9.
