Penn State vs. Mississippi: Rebels Pull Ahead

Quick programming note: yours truly will be heading down to the football bowl announcement teleconference at about 7:00 p.m. so there will likely be a gap in the liveblogging of this game.

Back to the action on the floor...

The 3-pointers continue at a dizzying pace for both teams. Neither of these teams shoot from deep particularly well, so it's odd to see this turn into a game of H-O-R-S-E. They're both hot tonight, though, so we'll see if that lasts.

Ross Travis returns to the game and gets a hand from the crowd. Fans are clearly warming up to his hustle here early in the season.

The Rebels have staked themselves to a bit of a lead here as Penn State's offense has been disorganized in the last couple of trips. With 7:49 left in the half, Penn State trails 27-21. We'll see if they clean things up after the timeout.
