Penn State Vs. Northwestern First Half Updates: Nittany Lions Dominating

Penn  State is coming off picks well here in the early going, really smothering the Northwestern offense. The Wildcats are having a really tough time getting inside and when they do, the Lions are forcing bad shots.

Bill Carmody calls timeout at the 13:59 mark with Penn State leading 16-2. Pretty much a perfect start by the Lions here.

Billy Oliver is Penn State's first reserve into the game, and he promptly turns the ball over.

Michael Thompson breaks the 18-2 run to open the game by Penn State with a jumper from the near wing.

Really a flawless open to this game by Penn State. They're shooting well from the field and not giving the Wildcats any room to breathe on defense. Not only is Northwestern not making shots, its not getting decent looks either. Utter domination taking place at the moment.

With 11:37 remaining in the half, Penn State leads Northwestern 18-4 in Evanston.
