Another day, another accolade for Penn State freshman Maggie Lucas.

Less than 24 hours after tying former Lady Lion star Kelly Mazzante's single-season 3-point field goals made record in Penn State's 66-56 win against Northwestern in the annual Pink Zone game, Lucas was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year and Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year on Monday afternoon.

↵

Lucas averaged 16.3 points per game and 3.4 3-pointers made per game during the regular season. She'll look to move past Mazzante when the Lady Lions take on either Purdue or Indiana in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten tournament on Friday morning in Indianapoilis.

↵

She'll also look to move up the all-time NCAA list in 3-pointers for a freshman. She currently sits in fifth place all-time.

In other award news, sophomore point guard Alex Bentley was named All-Big Ten first team. Nikki Greene and Julia Trogele earned honorable mentions.
