Michigan Vs. Penn State First Half Updates: Lions Take Early Lead

Jeff Brooks has been officially ruled out of the game. He warmed up with the team, but Cammeron Woodyard gets the start in his place today. Expect to see Jermaine Marshall and Billy Oliver get a boost in minutes today as well.

Decent crowd considering the Steelers are in the Super Bowl, but well below capacity.

Jordan Morgan scores the first points of the game for Michigan off an offensive rebound.

Cammeron Woodyard gets Penn State's first points off an offensive board of his own. Penn State will need some production like that from him with Brooks out.

Penn State's offense looks pretty fluid without Brooks. The Lions are getting open looks and...Tim Frazier just hit a three. He's been taking jumpers early here, something we haven't seen him do much this season. It's likely the coaching staff told him to look for his shot a little more with a scorer like you-know-who out.

With 15:24 to play in the half, Penn State leads 7-2.
