Michigan Vs. Penn State First Half Updates: Lions Grow Lead

Penn State looked pretty solid in that opening defensive sequence, though you can already see the Wolverines intend to use a lot of high screens to free guys up on the perimeter. The Lions have had trouble defending sets like that this season, so we'll see how they deal with it as the game goes on.

Tim Hardaway Jr. already has two fouls for Michigan. He's been replace by Matt Vogrich.

You don't usually talk about size with this Michigan team but Jordan Morgan is a big dude. Certainly a broader shouldered man than his counterpart Andrew Jones. That will be an interesting matchup to keep an eye on.

Nittany Nation kind of dead this morning (it was a noon state), but Talor Battle just electrified it with a bucket and-one on a fast break. Penn State is getting a lot of odd-man breaks off steals here in the early going. I'm sure Ed DeChellis wasn't quite looking to run this much, but if the Wolverines are just going to give the ball away like they have so far, they're going to.

With 11:52 to play in the half, Penn State leads Michigan 14-6.
