The Penn State Nittany Lions continue their quest to win the Big Ten Tournament, which continues to the semifinals on Saturday.
The first game will be between Ohio State and Michigan, at 1:40 on CBS. Ohio State only has two losses all year and beat the Wolverines twice during the season.
The second game will feature Penn State and Michigan State, 25 minutes after the Ohio State game, and also on CBS. The two teams split a pair of regular-season meetings.
After these two games, we’ll have a clearer picture as to which teams will represent the Big Ten in the NCAA Tournament. Ohio State is in, obviously, and Michigan and Michigan State are quite possibly in as well. Most folks’ brackets currently have Penn State on the outside looking in, but the Nittany Lions just knocked off a ranked Wisconsin team, and if they can make their way to the finals of the Big Ten Tournament (even if they eventually lose), they’ll have to be taken more seriously. Obviously, if they win the conference tournament outright, there's nothing to talk about.
