Women's 2011 NCAA Tournament Results For Tuesday: Connecticut Advances, Louisville Upsets Xavier

Here are the Women's NCAA Tournament bracket results for Tuesday. Both No. 1 seeds playing on Tuesday advanced, as Baylor beat No. 9 West Virginia, 82-68, and Connecticut crushed No. 9 Purdue, 64-40. UConn's Tiffany Hayes scored 23 points, and Maya Moore had 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Meanwhile, No. 7 Louisville upset No. 2 Xavier, 85-75, with Shoni Schimmel scoring 33 points, but fellow No. 2 seed Texas A&M survived, routing No. 7 Rutgers 70-48.

Both No. 3 seeds playing Tuesday night fell, as No. 6 Georgia advanced over Florida State, 61-59, and No. 6 Oklahoma beat No. 3 Miami (Florida), 88-83. In the Oklahoma game, Danielle Robinson scored six straight points with only a few minutes left to give the Sooners the lead for good

No. 5 Georgetown beat No. 4 Maryland, 79-57, as Sugar Rodgers had a career game, posting 34 points for the Hoyas. No. 5 Green Bay knocked off No. 4 Michigan State, 65-56.
