Penn State Vs. Minnesota First Half Updates: Lions Take The Lead

Penn State ties the game then takes the lead on some Talor Battle free throws.

Tim Frazier looks like the most active guy on the floor right now for Penn State. Talor Battle is trying to make things happen, too, but the forwards look dead. With rebounders as active as Minnesota's, that's terrible news for Penn State.

Not really much to say. Penn State's guards are still doing most of the work on both ends of the floor.

Jermaine Marshall seems to be getting his fair share of minutes in the early going. He's already on the board with a bucket. We'll see if he can keep the momentum going here. If he can, that'll be a nice boost for the Lions off the bench.

Jeff Brooks looks awful right now. Hard to be too critical considering he's dealing with a dislocated shoulder, but between Ohio State and this game, he looks lost on the offensive end.

While we're talking about people who are missing so far today, where is David Jackson? He isn't even taking shots right now. At least Jeff Brooks is looking for his.

Minnesota has really cooled off. Penn State isn't playing particularly well but it's holding a lead here while the Gophers are unable to make shots.

With 2:29 left in the half, Penn State leads 27-21.
