Penn State Vs. Minnesota Second Half Updates: Nittany Lions Try To Hold Late Lead

Jeff Brooks is called for an intentional foul to start the second half. Disastrous way to start for Penn State as Minnesota takes the lead with two free throws and a Blake Hoffarber layup on the ensuing possession.

David Jackson gives the Lions the lead back with a 3-pointer.

The two teams continue to trade the lead as Rodney Williams scores to give Minnesota the lead back. He has 11 points.

The crowd is really coming alive at the Barn. Penn State needs to manage that and quiet them quickly or things might get out of hand.

The teams are now exchanging blows. Minnesota continues to hold a slim lead, but Penn State needs to start putting some head on soon. The later it gets with the home team ahead, the more dangerous it gets for the road team.

Andrew Jones was just called for a phantom intentional foul Total garbage. Terrible break for Penn State just as it was starting to get some momentum. Iverson misses 1-2 and Minnesota fails to score on the extra possession, though, so minimal damage done.

With 9:13 remaining in the game, Penn State leads 52-48.
