Penn State Vs. Minnesota Second Half Updates: Nittany Lions Hold On

Penn State has failed in a couple of opportunities to put the Gophers down double digits and after a Blake Hoffarber jumper, Minnesota is within two, 54-52 with about four minutes to play in regulation. Ed DeChellis calls timeout.

Hoffarber ties the game, then gives Minnesota the lead with a free throw on a basket and-one. Bad foul by Tim Frazier who has otherwise had a nice game today.

Talor Battle give Penn State the lead, but Blake Hoffarber ties it again with a layup in the lane.

Jeff Brooks drills a three. Penn State ahead by three again.

Minnesota gets a free throw on its next possession, but following a miss on the second, Andrew Jones knocks the ball out of bounds, giving the Gophers the ball back.

Ralph Sampson airballs a 3-pointer on the ensuing possession. Game now going to the free throw line.

Tim Frazier puts Penn State up four with free throws, but Blake Hoffarber comes back down the floor and hits a triple to pull the Gophers back within one.

Penn State holds on 66-63, same score as back in State College. We'll have more in a few.
