Ed DeChellis Leaves Penn State: Trey Lewis, Juwan Staten Blindsided

Ed DeChellis was able to snag a few big recruits this past season to replace big names like Talor Battle and Jeff Brooks. Trey Lewis, a two-star recruit from Ohio, played well in the state playoffs this season and had a lot of Penn State fans excited for his arrival. He seems concerned.

Juwan Staten, a former four-star recruit and Dayton transfer decided on Penn State back in April. He is the most highly regarded high school process to sign with Penn State in recent memory. He appears even more shaken by the news.

Losing either of these players would be big blows to Penn State's chances at respectability in the near future. They're the new cornerstones of the program and if the new coach is tasked with replacing them, it could be a real uphill battle. If you're a Nittany Lions fan, you should probably hope these guys don't waver on their commitments.
