Former Penn State offensive lineman Stefen Wisniewski has signed a four-year contract with the Oakland Raiders according to Ron Musselman of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The former Central Catholic standout from Bridgeville was drafted by the Raiders in the second round of April's NFL draft after starting all four of his seasons at Penn State. During his time in Happy Valley, Wisniewski, or "Wiz" as he was known, was a consistent and versatile force on the line. He started at both right guard and center for Penn State, which should help him find a home in the NFL.
↵Wisniewski was named All-Big Ten twice in 2009 and 2010, and was named an Academic All-American three times in 2008, 2009 and 2010. According to Musselman, his deal with Oakland is worth $4.136 million including a $1.507 million signing bonus.
↵As NFL offensive linemen go, Wisniewski is on the smaller side of things. He has a good pedigree, though, and a track record of success at every level. This contract news looks like the beginning of a promising career for the ex-Nittany Lion.
