PHILADELPHIA--Michael Mauti is back out there for Penn State to start this defensive sequence. Looks like he's OK after coming up lame on the last sequence.
Rob Bolden is warming up for Penn State down on the sideline. This is pretty puzzling. The offense has clearly, clearly been better today with Matthew McGloin in there. We'll see if Bolden is actually deployed when the Nittany Lions get the ball back.
Sean Stanley forces a fumble for Penn State and Nick Sukay recovers, setting the Lions up on their own 48. Rob Bolden returns at quarterback, and promptly gives the ball right back, throwing an interception to the near side to Kee-Ayre Griffin. Yikes. Ugly sequence of football there.
Back on defense, Penn State forces a quick three-and-out, closing nicely to finish the Temple wideout and force an incompletion in third and long.
With 5:05 to play in the third quarter, Temple still leads Penn State 10-7 here at Lincoln Financial Field.
