Penn State vs. Eastern Michigan: Nittany Lions Lead 3-0 At End Of First Quarter

Eastern Michigan opens its drive with a couple of runs for a first down. Penn State linebacker Michael Mauti comes up lame after the second rush and is helped off. He was dinged up last week at Temple, too.

After not running much early on, the Eagles are starting to get a nice push. They just earned their second first down of the drive with only rushes.

Nathan Stupar breaks loose for a sack on first down following the Eastern Michigan first down. He was unblocked and he got in there in a hurry.

After a run, Penn State forces a punt with another sack, this time by Jack Crawford after Eastern Michigan quarterback Alex Gillett falls down.

Penn State's defense is bending a little bit early on here, but making the big plays when it has to. That's got to please the coaching staff.
