Penn State vs. Eastern Michigan: Matt McGloin Throws Third Touchdown

Rob Bolden comes out for Penn State's second drive of the second half, but the Nittany Lions can't get anything going and are forced to punt.

Eastern Michigan gets a bit of a drive going after Penn State's punt, picking up a couple of first downs to get close to midfield. The Lions' defense then rises to the occasion, though, forcing a stop and a punt.

Penn State takes over deep in its own territory on the 13-yardline. Matthew McGloin returns at quarterback for the Lions.

The Penn State drive begins with the Lions' third false start penalty of the day. Why that's happening at home, I have no idea, but it's certainly something you don't like to see with Big Ten play opening next week.

McGloin hits Devon Smith for 15 yards and a first down on his first throw of the second half.

Attendance is 95,636 today.

Wow, after just taking a false start penalty, Penn State suffers a fumbled snap. Uninspired play but Penn State's offensive line today.

Despite the line play, though, McGloin is leading another nice drive for Penn State. He's hitting a bunch of different receivers and making good decisions. This is a couple of nice performances in a row for him after a 13-19 effort against Temple last week.

Just as I say that, McGloin hits Derek Moye in the endzone to cap the drive with a 20-yard touchdown. McGloin is now 14-17 for 220 yards and three touchdowns.

Penn State scoring summary: 10 plays, 87 yards, 4:22 time of possession.
