Penn State vs. Eastern Michigan: D'Anton Lynn Carted Off With Injury

Things are getting a little scary here at Beaver Stadium. Penn State cornerback D'Anton Lynn is being carted off the field after attempting a tackle on an Eastern Michigan pass play.

Three Penn State defenders converged on the Eastern Michigan receiver, and Lynn went down, laying motionless on the field. As the trainers were putting Lynn on a board, Nittany Lion players circled around in prayer while the Eastern Michigan players stood together watching from afar on the near sideline.

The stadium was nearly silent for the five minutes or so the training staff was on the field helping Lynn off.

The training staff has had to cut off Lynn's facemask. The cart leaves the field quickly after the play.

Ugly development for Penn State here on what's an otherwise pretty great performance from the team. Stay tuned to SB Nation Pittsburgh for updates on Lynn's situation. We'll pass along news as we get it.
