As expected, Penn State won easily over Eastern Michigan, 34-6, and the Nittany Lions are now 3-1.
The Nittany Lions were up 31-0 after three quarters. Matt McGloin, who’s still competing with Rob Bolden for the starting quarterback job, fired three touchdown passes, including two to Derek Moye. McGloin ended the game 14-for-18 with 219 yards and an excellent 12.2-yard average.
Bolden, meanwhile, had a 71-yard touchdown pass to Devon Smith early in the third quarter but did not otherwise play that well, going 7-for-13 with 115 yards and throwing an ugly interception.
Silas Redd had 48 yards on the ground.
Eastern Michigan had two field goals from Kody Fulkerson in the fourth quarter to prevent the shutout.
Cornerback D’Anton Lynn underwent an injury and had to be carted off the field. He is currently at the hospital.
Adam Bittner is at the game getting firsthand reports. He’ll have more later.
